The concept of working on a music series came from within the walls of our home. My husband, Joe, has a passion for music. Joe is a talented musician himself. In his younger years he was in a band-The Caruso Brothers-and still plays a mean clarinet and sax. Our home is filled daily with music. Evenings are spent listening to various styles of music. In our travels across USA and Europe, I have been attracted to studying live musicians in all walks of life- orchestras, small combos and especially street musicians. Music is conceived in, conveys and inspires passion. I find myself attracted to this passion and paint with hope of capturing a bit of the musician's passion.

Window View Series
The idea for this series came from memories of being a little girl and daydreaming as I looked out the window. The window frame provides a solid context for all that it holds. The rest of the view can take on any meaning one chooses to impart on it with whatever amount of imagination they choose. I stayed with the theme of a whimsical interior room, a table, flowers and at least one little fish. To name the paintings, I considered the point of view of the little fish. I found this consideration so fun I sometimes giggled while I painted. I hope some of the giggles were captured in the paintings and that they inspire some smiles and giggles for others as well.
